Toroni + Lansley & Bendon

With his trademark coloured brushtrokes, Niele Toroni has created a personal vocabulary that is about both the act of painting and architectural space. A series of sheets of paper strung on a washing line cuts the gallery in two and a door blocks the corridor creating a presence with incredible economy of means. In the side gallery, take a look at Jo Lansley and Helen Bendon’s photos and compelling video loop ‘Little Pleasures’, a sort of surreal ‘Shallow Grave’ narrative in which the feminine art of knitting takes a macabre turn.
