It’s all yee-haw and howdy pardner, as the biggest and most important cowboy competition of the year comes to Las Vegas for the 16th consecutive time. They aren’t riding bulls and roping calves for nothing, and one look at all the chi-chi trucks in the casino car parks and pricey blue jeans tightly adhering to the so-called ‘belt buckle babes’ illustrates that. The coming of the NFR also unleashes a stable of citywide activity, from country-western music concerts to holiday gift fairs. The NFR proudly makes Las Vegas a real cow town again.
